Frank Jr. has 18 years in the landscaping industry but has been around the business most of his life. He joined Custom Landscaping in 1995 and has a degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Seton Hall University. He holds a NJ commercial pesticide applicator license (#53622B) in 3A, 3B, and Core and is certified in ICPI and NCMA. He also has license 88 for Mosquito Application. Frank Jr. loves everything about his role at Custom Landscaping, especially working closely with clients to assure their expectations are exceeded and using his communication skills to build lasting relationships.
During Frank’s free time he enjoys spending time with his triplets, wife and the rest of his family.
Founder/ Director of Sales
Frank Sr. founded Custom Landscaping and Lawn Care in 1982. He currently serves as the Director of Sales, where he oversees and manages the entire sales team and teaches them to be as effective in the field as possible.
After 37 years in the business, Frank enjoys building lasting relationships with his clients. When asked what his best skill is, Frank replied, “I feel my best skill is me. I am very knowledgeable about the industry and I am a people person. I enjoy immensely interacting with people on a day to day basis.”
Family means everything to Frank and he enjoys spending his free time with them.
Internal Operations Manager
Syril joined Custom Landscaping in 2013. She has over 20 years’ experience in business management and holds a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University. Syril oversees all internal business operations including customer service, marketing, and administration, and assists in business planning and strategy. She enjoys how her position at Custom Landscaping allows her to be involved in so many different elements of business operations.
In her free time, Syril enjoys exercise, concerts, vegan cooking, and rescuing senior dogs. She also volunteers as a foster home for an animal rescue.
External Operations Manager
Gregg has been with Custom Landscaping since 2016. Some of his responsibilities include managing residential and commercial landscape maintenance crews, proposing commercial landscape enhancements, and preparing contracts and contract renewals. He also assists in commercial snow operations. He has been in the landscape industry for 38 years and over those years he developed the knowledge of sales, operations, budgets, and running a business. Gregg has worked for some of the top 100 companies in the country. He has various certifications and has taken various classes, such as PLANET Landscape Conferences, Certified Landscape Technician, Snow and Ice Management class, Rutgers Plant Identification Classes.
In his spare time, Gregg enjoys the gym and Ioves spending time with his family and friends at the beach or at his family vacation home in New York State.
Heather is the Office Manager and has been with Custom Landscaping since 2014. Her job duties consist of maintaining office services by organizing office operations and procedures. Heather assigns and monitors all clerical functions to essentially ensure the smooth running of the office on a day-to-day basis.
Before working for Custom Landscaping, she was at the same company for over 20 years moving her way from a sales representative to a bookkeeper and manager. She brings this experience and skill set to her position at Office Manager. Heather’s best skills are her work ethic and loyalty. She believes in working hard and working to the best of your ability and knowledge.
In her personal time, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her ten-year-old son who is her everything.
Snow and Ice Operations Manager / Landscaping Enhancement Sales
Steve has over 20 years of experience in the landscaping and snow and ice industry. He started his career shoveling snow at small landscape company during the winter. The challenge and importance of this industry intrigued him, and as every winter arrived, he always welcomed the snow and managed to keep rising through the ranks. Some of the various positions he held were crew leader, foreman, client relations, sales and now Snow and Ice Operations Manager. Knowledge of the Industry as well as multitasking under heavy stress situations have proven that Steve is a leader and is why he is now managing the entire Snow and Ice Division here at Custom Landscaping.
Steve spends all his free time with his son, they go fishing, camping, hiking and do anything outdoors.
Healthy Lawn Division Manager
Pat joined the Custom Landscaping Team in 2016 and oversees the entire Heathy Lawn division of Custom Landscaping. He specializes in diagnosing insect and disease related issues on trees and shrubs and is responsible for carrying out any corrective measures that are needed to keep our customer’s trees in good health.
A graduate of Lincoln Tech, Pat has over 6 years in industry experience and holds a NJ Pesticide Applicator’s license 3A & 3B, is Arborjet certified, and is planning to obtain his ISA Arborist Certification before the end of 2019. Pat enjoys using his analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills when encountering the various problems that trees and shrubs present. In Pat’s free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and children.
Landscaping Sales Representative
Seth joined Custom Landscaping in 2018 and assists with sales and business development. His client base comes from residential and commercial landscape maintenance customers. Seth focuses on landscape design, drainage along with irrigation services with his customers.
Seth grew up in Massachusetts, just west of Boston. He went to school in MA up to middle and then moved to Maryland. Seth finished middle and high school in Williamsport, Maryland before settling in NJ.
Seth bring 12 years to date of landscape maintenance and install experience to Custom Landscaping as well as 22 years of sales experience. Seth has extensive experience working with people and finding out how he can help them the best he can.
Seth is married and has two beautiful girls at home, whom he loves to spend time with. Seth is an avid scouter and camper/hiker. He is also a youth leader at his church in Medford, NJ.
Customer Care Representative / Healthy Lawn Office Manager
Nicole joined the Custom Landscaping team in 2018 as a Customer Care Representative and the Office Manager for the Healthy Lawn division. Nicole’s best skills are her efficiency and knowledge of turf maintenance from her 10+ years of experience in the industry.
When she isn’t at work, she is spending time with her two children and/or baking lots of goodies.
Customer Care Representative
Susan has been a Customer Care Representative at Custom Landscaping and Lawn Care since 2018. She handles the scheduling for landscaping appointments, sending estimates to clients, and assists customers with their questions to the best of her ability.
Susan attended the High School of Art and Design and NYCTC for advertising. She also attended a marketing course and received certification. Susan has been in the administrative field for over 20 years. Along with her administrative skills, she also brings her experience and expertise to Custom Landscaping.
Susan enjoys spending time with her family and playing all sorts of games, video and board.
Customer Care Representative
Evelyn joined the Custom Landscaping family as a Customer Care Representative in 2019. She is currently in a combined Bachelors/Master’s program for psychology through Capella University. Evelyn has been working in customer service for several years and greatly enjoys helping others. During her spare time, she enjoys spending it with her family, reading or painting.
Bryan joined Custom Landscaping in 2017 as an Account Manager/ Customer Service Representative / Snow Site Manager. After graduating from high school, Bryan served in the United States Marine Corps for 8 years. He has 9 years’ experience in the landscape industry. In Bryan’s free time he collects sports memorabilia and travels with his wife.
Jeff brings 30 years’ experience to the turf field and over 28 years as a Shop Manager. Jeff has run shops and fleets for some of the most prestigious country clubs in the United States, as well as some of the largest landscape and construction companies around. He holds over 35 certifications in turf equipment and heavy equipment. Jeff also has 2 Master Certifications through Toro company and Jacobson company. Jeff has over 28 years in managing and setting up shops, organizing and parts inventory along with stream lining maintenance programs for equipment. Jeff has experience in budget control. Training staff on safety and usage of equipment. Jeff always brings a team like attitude to work and is available to help anyone at any given time.
On Jeff’s down time he enjoys goings to Yankee games and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle with his friends. He also enjoys spending time with his family.
Rich joined Custom Landscaping in 2007 as Irrigation Manager. He has over 40 years in the industry and is a licensed irrigation contractor (#219263), licensed pesticide operator (#84950B), and a certified backflow tester. Rich is reliable, outgoing, loves snow (after the holidays!), and is known for being passionate about his work. He loves everything about irrigation, especially troubleshooting systems.
Duane joined Custom Landscaping in 2014, as an integral member of the customer service and sales staff. Duane brings a wealth of experience and careful listening to his position. He has over 10 years total experience in the lawn care industry and enjoys assisting customers with questions and setting up a realistic approach to their lawn care needs. Duane also is an Ordained Minister.
